Claims / Damages

What to do in the unlikely event that a consignment is delivered short or damaged.

In the unlikely event that a consignment is delivered short or damaged please contact our Claims Department on 01274 600730 within 7 working days of the delivery. Your consignee must sign the delivery note accordingly upon receipt of the goods at the delivery destination. With regret, we are unable to process claims without a claused signature on the POD. The words “Unchecked” or similar are not accepted as claused. Should your customer wish to claim for any shortage or damage, a copy of the commercial invoice must be supplied showing the cost of the goods excluding any profit or VAT. There may be a number of additional documents that our insurers require completion of which will be provided by our Claims Department. A designated claims handler will be assigned. This will be the point of contact for all enquiries regarding the situation.

Please Note: We have no liability for consequential loss & quoted transit times are advisory and not guaranteed. All transit claims are subject to the deduction of an excess of £50.00, in respect of each and every claim.
