If the driver making the collection from your premises is concerned with the condition of the consignment needed to be transported (see Presentation of Goods) you will be informed of their concern and a decision will be made between yourself and Shipley Transport as to the action that needs to be taken.

  • Deliveries

Standard delivery times are between 10:00 and 16:30 within the majority of the UK with the exception of “out of hours” deliveries that have been pre arranged with our traffic office. AM/PM and specified timed deliveries can be arranged however these carry a surcharge and must be stated at the time of booking.

*Please note that a reasonable time window of 30 minutes either side of a time specific delivery is required

  • Tail lift Delivery/Collections

Our tail lift services can be requested when there is no forklift available.

Available on either a collection or delivery point. Tail lift deliveries only cover for “kerbside” loading/unloading. This covers the removal of the pallet from the vehicle to the entrance of customer premises. This is dependent on the access and ground surface covering i.e. grass, gravel, etc…

Remember pallets must have four way entry and be no more than 1000 kgs in weight.

  • Paperwork / Delivery Notes

Shipley Transport Services use our customers delivery notes at all times. These must be given to the driver on collection of the goods or emailed through to our traffic office. All delivery notes supplied must have at least two copies as usually a customer requests to keep a copy and the driver will take a copy upon completion of delivery. If no paperwork is received a Shipley Transport note will be created automatically.
